What caprail.finance collects, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. It's short because we collect very little.

What we collect
If you join the waitlist
The email address you enter, and when you signed up.
When you open the page
Our server records the time, your IP address, the browser and device you're using (from the information every browser sends), and the approximate place: city, region and country, which we work out from the IP address on our own server.
What we don't do
No cookies, no analytics or advertising trackers, and no outside scripts or fonts: nothing on this site loads from another company's servers.
Why, and on what basis
- Your waitlist email is for one email when we launch. We hold it with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by emailing us.
- Visit records help us keep the site secure and see how much interest there is in CapRail. We rely on our legitimate interest in running and protecting the site.
How long we keep it
- Waitlist email: until we've sent the launch email. Then we delete it, unless you tell us you'd like to keep hearing from us.
- Visit records: 12 months, then they're deleted automatically.
- The server's technical log (IP address, time, page requested, browser): about two weeks, then deleted automatically.
Where it's kept, and who sees it
On our own server, in Switzerland, which UK and EU law recognise as protecting personal data adequately. Only CapRail can see it. We don't sell or share it.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Email contact@caprail.finance. Visit records are tied only to an IP address, so to find yours, tell us the address and roughly when you visited.
If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or to the data protection authority where you live.
Changes
If anything here changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
